Listening to the rain

Created on a rainy day.
First I heard the rain. Then came the impulse to paint in the rain.
The canvas was outdoors.
Rain, time and colour became part of the process.
There was no fixed plan.
After a few hours the painting came into the studio and dried over several days. Layers formed, shifted and found their own form.
What became visible was not what was sought.
It was allowed to come into being.
